Tory lawmakers on Wednesday whittled the field to the last two candidates, from eight less than two weeks ago. Hundreds of thousands of registered party members across the United Kingdom will now choose between Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss in a mail-in ballot, with the winner—and thus the country’s new Prime Minister—to be announced in early September.
