The House Jan. 6 committee may subpoena Ginni Thomas, but don’t think this is about the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas. This is an attempt to damage the Justice, and it won’t help the committee’s cause.

Vice Chair Liz Cheney says the committee hopes Mrs. Thomas appears voluntarily but that it will consider a subpoena if she declines. This is supposedly related to Mrs. Thomas’s communications with former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, among others, urging him to overcome what she claimed was a stolen election. Her claims were as unfounded as Donald Trump’s.
