Talking about the choice of director, creative Matthew Moreland added: “In Britain, we are all for pets. As pet owners, we do anything for them, and Pets at Home provide everything they need. Because that love is over the top, we wanted the film to be too—unconditional love celebrated unreservedly, which meant Freddie Powel was the perfect choice. He created a rock opera. An OTT love note, which celebrated the unconditional love you rarely see in pet advertising.”
