Murdoch said the company is feeling confident across sports and the news market “has stabilized,” with the company seeing political revenue earlier than it has ever seen before.
“We’re looking forward to Tubi being a central part of our upfront negotiations,” said Murdoch. “It’s clearly not only a strategic driver for us, but it’s been an important driver for us going forward.”
The strike goes on
As the WGA strike enters its second week, Murdoch believes the company is “well positioned” for an ongoing strike, pointing to its slate of news and sports, which are unaffected by the stoppage.
“We feel very well-positioned there not to be affected by the writers strike, really at all,” said Murdoch. “There will be some scheduling changes with some of these scripted content, but it’s not something that it’ll have a significant financial impact on us.”
