For its part, Jefferson’s Bourbon is “thrilled” with the partnership, according to Jenny Hermanson, senior director of omnimedia strategy at Pernod Ricard, the parent company of Jefferson’s Bourbon.

“The story of The Penguin provides a relevant backdrop to showcase Jefferson’s unconventional approach to bourbon and spotlight characters who see the world differently,” Hermanson said.

Gould is hopeful The Penguin, which stars Colin Farrell reprising his role from 2022’s The Batman, will be a big deal for the streaming service. (The Batman grossed $771 million at the worldwide box office against a $185-200 million budget, making it a commercial success and the seventh-highest-grossing film that year.)

“We anticipate coming off of House of the Dragon that The Penguin will probably be the next big hit that we’re excited about,” Gould said.
